Family drive from Dubai to Scotland in a camper van | Dubai Family Photoshoot

When this family of four decided to leave Dubai and move back to Scotland, they also decided to use this opportunity to live out their campervan dreams! After calling Dubai home for over 16 years, it was time for this family to say goodbye but this family left in style! Unlike the majority of families flying in and out of Dubai, they decided that to take a 4 month overland journey in a campervan. 

They found their campervan a couple of years ago on Dubbizle and just knew they had to purchase it. It was a bit old and run down, and took several months of love and care to get her road worthy. Over Covid, the campervan really became a lifeline as it helped them not only have something to do over the lockdown but also a safe way to go on adventures by camping around Dubai.  

We decided that the desert would be the best place to capture all those 16 years worth of memories and would be a special keepsake when looking back and sharing stories with their kids. You wouldn’t be able to tell, but this was actually the family’s first time having their photographs taken. They were a little nervous but once we headed into the desert they quickly realised that I am all about having fun! We started off running up and down the dunes, had plenty of special cuddles and then, as the sun was setting, we took some shots with “home” for the next 4 months! 

So far, the family has travelled ferry to Iran, driven through Turkey, broke down a couple of times through Morocco and are now in Spain! I can’t wait to follow their adventures and see them arrive in Scotland!
