Giggles in the Garden | Family Photoshoot

When I knew I was going to be able to see one of my best friends after 3 years apart AND meet his daughter for the first time, I knew I had to take my camera along and do a little spontaneous family photoshoot. Keiran and I met at university 10 years ago and instantly became friends. I like to call him my twin because of how alike we are - not only do we both love geography, but we share the same birthday (actual birthday twins!), been in a relationship for the same amount of time (our anniversaries were a week apart) and have the same humor (sometimes even coming up with the same jokes at the same time). As I live 6 hours away by airplane, we don’t get to spend as much time together and the last time we had seen each other was at his wedding almost 3 years prior. So to see him with his little family and to meet his daughter for the first time was so special.

At the house we had rented for the weekend (it was more like a mansion as it had to be big enough for the 9 of us!) was this lovely big garden that was perfect for running around. Though it was a little bare and dry due to the crazy heatwave that hit the UK while I was there, we still managed to get some lovely photographs together. Little F was a little grumpy as it was coming up to dinner time but the amazing thing about the late sunsets during summer meant that we could have a little food break then come back out for some more shots.

We focused on doing more running shots to expel some of that energy, lifting Little F into the air to get those lovely and loud giggles that she is famous for. Combined with lots of tickles and squishy hugs, we managed to get some beautiful photographs in just under 20 minutes!
